Maybe I Am Turning Into An Old Prude, But...

I came across this news article on Sky. This guy murdered 4 people because he was jilted by the 16 year old. The man is 33. Maybe I am out of line here and maybe I am turning into a prude, but the thought that went through my head after reading this was, What the fuck is a 33 year old man doing with a 16 year old girl?

  1. Well, this is no normal 33-year-old, is he? I mean, look at his past history. When the only people you want to hang out with/date are teenagers (and you're in your mid-30s), that's already well dodgy... Like, find yourself some mates your own age, you big pervo.

  2. I think a man that old with a girl is disgusting. Most girls don't mature enough mentally to have an adult relationship until they are between 18 and 21, some later than that. She was still a child.

  3. Ick Ick, I feel as though I need to go and have a scalding hot shower to get the sleaziness off of me - and all I did was read the article.

What is the fascination that older men have with young women/girls? When we were in our teens all of my friends and I were hit on by men in their 30s, it was disgusting. I don't mind a slightly older man now that I'm in my 30s but when I was 15 or 16 it was the most disgusting thing in the world.

  4. Wait and all he got was 35 years for killing 4 people AND he had been convicted previously of manslaughter? Something's wrong there...

  5. Welcome to the wonderful world of British "justice", Karen. He'll probably be out in about ten, with good behaviour and what not...

  6. Funny, sounds a lot like the Canadian system. Slap on the wrist, promise us you won't do it again..

  7. I know: it's not right. Plus, gender aside, no good ever came of 33-y-o's hanging out with 16-y-o's. Always ends in tears.

  8. All: I agree with you guys. And this guy has had a violent past to top that all off. I think it's tragic and certainly this isn't the last time we'll see headlines like this.
