The little known benefit of depressive episodes is this: it strips away the bullshit and leaves the raw bones of life. You get to see what really matters and what really doesn't.

    You're right. Bummer, though, that we have to go through depression or really emotionally scarring episodes to see what really matters, no?

  4. Hey Tanya: I think I read on the blog somewhere that you're a buddhist. Do you have any recommendations (bookwise) for someone looking to learn more about buddhism? Always been curious about it but haven't really found anything worth reading yet.
